Aamchi Mumbai pays its expats the highest in the world
The financial capital of India has grabbed the top spot for expat salaries in a global survey. In other words, Mumbai pays its expats the highest as compared to other cities in the world. Mumbai pays $217,165 annually to expats, which is double the average salary of other cities combined. San Francisco, Zurich came second and third in the survey conducted by HSBC.
Mumbai, however, loses to San Francisco in one area
Shanghai, Jakarta and Hong Kong were the other Asian cities in top ten. However, all these cities lost to London, San Francisco, New York in one area - opportunities. The survey pointed out that these destinations in UK and US have more opportunities than the Asian cities. Ireland's capital Dublin scored in top five in opportunities but fell short in the salary part.
