Mumbai heading the Delhi-way? Dense smog engulfs city; air-quality hazardous
What's the story
As Delhi's air pollution levels started improving (reached "moderate" for the first time in two months), it looks like Mumbai is now suffocating in dense smog that has engulfed the city.
It led to a drop in air quality and visibility as temperatures dipped, too. The Air Quality Index (AQI) stood at 305; it falls in the hazardous "severely polluted" level.

Thick smog leads to poor visibility
Earlier in October, too, AQI reached a hazardous level of 341 (at US Consulate in), when Mumbai woke up to a blanket of thick smog, primarily due to the bursting of firecrackers on Diwali.
DNA reported that the visibility level was now down to 100 meters. Even the Sun wasn't visible due to smog.
Temperature in Mumbai also reportedly decreased to 25-degrees Celsius
