How to protect your skin from winter rains
Winters are harsh for your skin. And, they become even more problematic if it rains. Not only it takes a toll on your health, it is particularly harmful for your skin. But don't worry, we have you covered with our super easy skincare regime. Follow these steps for a beautiful and fresh skin this winters.
Make water your best friend
No wonder water is your one-stop solution for all skin problems. Make water an essential part of your diet. It's only when you're hydrated from the inside that your skin can look hydrated and fresh from the outside. Water helps in flushing out toxins from the body. Have at least 7-8 glasses of water every day. Always carry a water bottle to stay hydrated.
Clean your way up to a healthy skin
With the increase in humidity, your skin is bound to get oily and sticky. Oily skin is again an easy target for germs and acne breakouts. Wash your face twice a day with a mild soap cleanser and cold water (yes!) to remove all the impurities from your skin. Use oil-free skin wipes to remove excess oil and dirt when outside.
Tone it up for a glowing and healthy skin
Humidity can clog pores resulting in acne-breakouts and dull skin. Use a toner after washing your face to replenish the pH levels of the skin and shrink your pores to prevent any breakouts. Moisturizing is another important aspect of a good skin care regime. Use a gel-based moisturizer in case of an oily skin and a cream-based moisturizer for a normal to dry skin.
Gentle exfoliation is key to a glowing skin
Right exfoliation is the trick to remove all dirt and unclog your pores, making way for a healthy, supple skin. Don't go overboard with exfoliating as it can make the skin itchy. Use a mild scrub to exfoliate your skin at least twice a week to remove all the dirt and impurities. Post-exfoliation, apply a clay or mud mask to soothe your skin.
Eat your way to a fabulous skin
There is no denial to the fact that "you are what you eat". A balanced diet rich in vitamins and minerals enhances the inner glow of the skin. Include green leafy vegetables and fruits in your diet to avoid a dull and patchy skin. Also, avoid oily and spicy food as it triggers acne breakouts. Instead of processed foods, opt for natural variants.
