This hotel that lets guests sleep at the bottom of a mine has recently opened in the United Kingdom and is being touted as the world's deepest hotel. We aren't kidding! Here is everything about this unique accommodation that has many people booking it already.
The property is 400 meters deep under the Snowdonia mountains
Constructed at the bottom of a Victorian mine, about 400 meters deep, The Deep Sleep Hotel is tucked under the Snowdonia mountains of North Wales. The rooms are built at a whopping depth of 419 meters and include four private twin-bed cabins and a grotto with a double bed. One can only book this hotel from Saturday night to Sunday morning.
It takes a 45-minute trek to reach this unique hotel
Reaching this unique getaway property is far from relaxing. Per reports, once you reach Tanygrisiau Base near Blaenau Ffestiniog, you will be accompanied by a trip leader, who will take you on a 45-minute trek through the mountains and finally drop you at the hotel. You will be given a harness rope, boots, helmet, and light during the same.
Ancient stairs, old bridge to take you down
A set of ancient stairs, bridges, and scrambles will take you down to a deep and silent corridor. As you go down and deeper into the mine, your trek leader will acquaint you with the history of this place. It will take you about 60 minutes to climb down before you finally arrive at a large steel door. Welcome to the hotel!
You will be welcomed with a warm drink, complimentary snacks
"A warm drink and some information will be provided - then it's time to relax for the rest of the evening. We'll provide you with a complimentary expedition-style meal (Meat, Vegan, and Vegetarian options available) to enjoy at our large covered picnic table. Then you are welcome to retire to your bed for a very deep sleep," reads the hotel website's information section.
Itinerary for your way back up the next morning
"Wake at 8:00 am to a warm drink and some simple breakfast snacks before starting the long ascent up to the surface and daylight again. Your party can expect to be back down to the cars around 10-10:30 am, roughly," says the website.
Here's how much a room will cost you per night
The cost of a private cabin is priced at £350 (Rs. 36,000 approx) per night, while its Grotto which is perfect for couples costs £550 (Rs. 57,000 approx), as stated on its website. "Guests who have stayed there absolutely loved it. They like its uniqueness, the evening camaraderie, and the sense of being away from civilization," Mike Morris, operations manager, told Daily Star.

"The main observation has been the ability to get an amazing night's sleep! Guests said they had a better night's sleep than they ever manage at home - the best night's sleep in their lives," Morris added in his statement to Daily Star.
