How to dye hair black naturally
The quest for naturally black hair is often accompanied by the desire for a gentler and more eco-friendly approach to beauty. Chemical hair dyes may contain harsh ingredients that can potentially damage the hair shaft and have environmental implications. In contrast, natural methods allow you to tap into the wholesome potential of some common ingredients. Here are a few options you can consider.
Coffee
Coffee works wonders if you wish to darken your grey hair. Make a pot of strong coffee, let it cool, and then combine one cup with two tablespoons of coffee grounds and a couple of cups of leave-in conditioner. After cleaning your hair, apply and let it sit for about an hour. The color will stay longer if you rinse with apple cider vinegar.
Black tea
After giving your hair a thorough wash, let it soak in black tea for at least fifteen minutes. As many times as you can, repeat the procedure after every fifteen minutes. Your hair will become darker the more times you perform the treatment. Once this is done, shampoo, condition, and pat dry your hair with a towel.
Sage
Put one cup of sage in a pot of water, and let it simmer for at least 30 minutes. After letting the solution cool, immerse your hair in it for around 30 minutes. You could also pour it over your hair. Give your hair a wash and conditioning. You can repeat the process up to a few days to get your desired black color.
Henna and indigo
To apply this blend, start by mixing henna powder with warm water to create a thick consistency. Keep the paste overnight to release its dye. In a separate container, mix indigo powder with warm water just before application. Apply the henna mixture to your hair and wrap your head. Rinse it after two-four hours. Now apply indigo paste, then rinse off after two hours.
Amla powder
Amla (Indian gooseberry) powder is known for its darkening properties and is one of the best natural alternatives to hair dye. To make a smooth paste, combine two teaspoons of amla powder, one teaspoon of hair oil, and some hot water. Now, apply this paste to your hair gently and let it sit for 1-2 hours. Rinse it afterward.
