Zhanna Samsonova, a famous influencer known for promoting a raw vegan diet on social media, reportedly died "due to starvation" on July 21. Known on platforms like TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram as Zhanna D'Art, the 39-year-old woman from Russia had millions of followers from around the world. Per her Instagram, she was on an all-raw vegan diet for over a decade.
She died after finally seeking medical treatment during a tour
According to reports, Samsonova died on July 21 after she sought medical treatment during a tour. One of her friends shared with NewsFlash that when the influencer was in Sri Lanka, "she already looked exhausted, with swollen legs oozing lymph." She was even sent home to seek treatment but ran away again. "When I saw her in Phuket, I was horrified," said the friend.

Adding further to their statement, the influencer's friend revealed that they used to stay a floor above her and feared finding her corpse someday. "I convinced her to seek treatment, but she didn't make it," they stated. Another friend told the news outlet that Samsonova had only been eating jackfruit, durian, and "a spiky, mace-like fruit known for its custardy meat and noxious odor."

Friends believe her 'healthy food choices' led to her death
Although the reason for her death remains undeclared, Samsonova's friends believe that it is the "healthy food choices" that killed her. "Only her eyes, merry eyes, and gorgeous hair compensated for the dreadful sight of a body tortured by idiocy," shared one of her pals. However, the influencer's mother says that she died due to a "cholera-like infection."
