Dimitrios in Laconia
At the beautiful beach of Laconia lies a ghost ship that has been wrecking and rusting along the shores for ages. After a month of drifting, it eventually washed ashore.
National Archaeological Museum of Athens
While most museums may seem boring, this one may stand out for you. The reason? Well, it houses a 2000-year-old computer (as they call it) that depicts incredible engineering and astronomical precision. Called the clockwork computer, this small instrument made of bronze was built in 200 B.C. and helped people with accurate calculations, mathematical solutions, and astronomical principles. This device was beyond its time.
Catacombs of Milos
There is a set of underground tombs in Milos that were carved out of volcanic rocks in the region, called the Catacombs of Milos. Astonishingly, they date back to the 1st century and house more than 290 floor tombs. Back in the day, they used to serve as the resting place for 2,000 individuals, making them an important part of the Greek history today.
