Opt for scents that are synonymous with freshness
The ongoing season is a time to stay fresh and choosing a scent that makes you feel so goes without saying. "To create the best contrast with the heat, opt for scents, reed diffusers, candles, or essential oils that are synonymous with freshness. Choose aromas with summery fresh floral notes," says Dr. Jain. You can go for fragrances like jasmine, gardenia, lemon, lavender, etc.
Have outdoor activities planned? Go for citrus and floral notes
"Always select a fragrance based on the current season. Summer is the ideal season for citrus or mild floral smells. In the summer, always choose a light, airy scent and try to avoid anything too potent or overbearing," suggests Dr. Jain. So whether you are planning a mini pool party, a barbeque meal, or a warm picnic, don't forget to make them aromatic.
Leave ordinary and invest in more quirky scented candles
Scented candles have become an important addition to one's home decor. "Summer-scented candles are a terrific way to revitalize your indoor areas, even on the hottest days. They come in a variety of fresh scents, from citrus to the crisp perfume of sea breezes, a gorgeous musk scent with floral and woody notes," says Kansal.
