According to the online platform Cats.com, Olivia Benson, Swift's feline pal, is worth a whopping $97 million. It is claimed that Benson has outshined Swift's NFL beau Travis Kelce who is worth $40 million. In addition to Benson, Swift owns two other cats: Meredith Grey and Benjamin Button.

Swift's Scottish Fold cat, named after Mariska Hargitay's Law and Order: SVU character, has made quite a name for herself. The kitty even has her own merch line. Benson also shared the spotlight with Grey, in a DirectTV ad featuring their famous pet parent.

Interestingly, Swift's cat is not the wealthiest pet despite the whopping number. Benson currently stands at the the third position. Gunther VI, a German shepherd with a $500 million net worth is reportedly the wealthiest pet in the world. Power influencer Nala Cat, who has 4.5 million followers on Instagram, comes second. The kitty reportedly has a net worth of an astounding $100 million.
How much do pets earn in the industry
Cats.com uses Instagram data to estimate pet earnings based on followers, likes, and engagement rates. However, this method isn't exactly foolproof. Humane Hollywood states that animals in domestic non-SAG-AFTRA productions earn $1200 a day or $600 per half day, while animal trainer Kelly Capponcelli mentioned a flat rate of $500 a day before the SAG-AFTRA strike. It is uncertain if these rates apply to a star pet like Olivia Benson.

Figuring out a pet's fortune isn't a walk in the park, as financial details are usually hush-hush. Financial expert Travis Brown told the BBC that only celeb money managers or lawyers would have the inside scoop on such figures.
