    What's the story

When it comes to fashion choices, older women shy away from experimenting much, owing to their health, body aches, comfort, and the lack of willingness to try.

However, in reality, there are many options for them to look trendy yet comfortable.

NewsBytes caught up with celebrity fashion stylist Foram Kubadia to understand a few suggestions that women over 60 can consider.

    Tip 1

    Choose classic over trendy

Choose classic clothes over trendy or bold prints, Kubadia suggests.

"Pick clothes that you can easily mix and match and wear for a long time. Prefer timeless and chic pieces that are stylish and uncomplicated," she says.

If saree is your type, then she asks to go for Kanjivaram sarees, which have never gone out of fashion and look sophisticated as well.

    Tip 2

Opt for kaftans to stay comfortable yet stylish

Kaftan is a casual outfit idea for older women who want to stay comfortable yet stylish at the same time.

You can wear it with your partner for a date night as well.

"Swap those lazy cotton gowns with these printed maxis and see the magic. Pair it with a nice necklace and jewelry depending on the occasion," suggests Kubadia.

    Tip 3

    Bold printed sarees

In India, it is common to see women sticking to wearing just sarees as they grow older. However, there are options to look stylish even in sarees, says the stylist.

"Don't stop wearing colors. Always wear colorful clothes regardless of age as it makes you look bright and cheerful. Choosing nice colorful printed sarees is a great outfit idea for older women," she says.

    Tip 4

Solid white can never go wrong

"White can never go wrong. A white shirt or a long kurta with some amazing silver jewelry would be the best, most comfortable, and easy," Kubadia says.

She highlights the magic of gentler textiles such as mulmul and cotton linen.

When it comes to these fabrics, shirts, and kurtas effortlessly complement denim wear or relaxed trousers, exuding an aura of both elegance and ease.
