Spend 5 mins a day, and get a toned face
What's the story
Facial symmetry is considered a hallmark of beauty and health.
While genetics largely determine the structure of your face, there are exercises you can do to improve muscle tone and enhance facial symmetry.
These exercises are easy, don't require any equipment, and can be done at home.
By incorporating them into your daily routine, you can achieve noticeable improvements over time.
Cheek
Enhance your smile with cheek lifts
Cheek lifts strengthen your cheek muscles, which can raise the corners of your mouth and create a more symmetrical look.
To do a cheek lift, smile as big as you can with your lips closed.
Next, put your fingers on each cheek with a little bit of pressure.
Hold for five seconds, then relax.
Do this exercise 10 times for the best effect.
Jawline
Strengthen your jawline with chin lifts
Chin lifts strengthen the muscles around your jawline and under your chin, eliminating sagging skin and creating a more defined jawline.
How to do it:
Tilt your head back until you're looking at the ceiling.
Pucker up your lips as if you're trying to kiss the ceiling. Hold this position for five seconds, then relax.
Doing this exercise 10 times a day can make a big difference.
Eyes
Improve eye symmetry with eye squeezes
Eye squeezes not only enhance eye symmetry but also diminish wrinkles around the eyes by fortifying the orbicularis oculi muscle.
Shut your peepers super tight (but not so much that it hurts).
Keep 'em closed for five seconds, then open them wide.
Do this 15 times, and boom - you've just given your eyes a mini workout!
Brow
Boost overall facial tone with brow lifts
Brow lifts focus on the forehead, smoothing wrinkles and raising eyebrows for a more symmetrical appearance.
Position your hands above each eyebrow, apply pressure downward while simultaneously lifting your eyebrows against this resistance.
This creates tension in the forehead muscles, effectively strengthening them.
Hold this position for five seconds before releasing. Repeat this exercise 10 times daily for optimal muscle toning.
Lips
Enhance lip symmetry with lip presses
Lip presses help enhance lip symmetry and definition by strengthening the orbicularis oris muscle that encircles the mouth area.
Press your lips together as firmly as you can without causing undue strain.
Picture yourself attempting to keep a secret between them, not letting it slip out.
Maintain this position for a count of 10 before slowly releasing.
Do this exercise 10 times daily for optimal results.
