Empowering change: Journey of 2 women entrepreneurs redefining success
In the heartland of Madhya Pradesh, Tripti Dubey and Rajeshwari Namdeo represent tales of resilience and transformation. Dubey's evolution from a gold medalist to an organic beauty entrepreneur and community mentor and Namdeo's journey—marked by hardships following widowhood that led her into entrepreneurship—are nothing short of inspiring. Their stories reflect the power of individual initiative in overcoming adversity through determination and self-empowerment.
Challenging circumstances
Tripti Dubey's journey from Bareli, a small town in the Raisen district of Madhya Pradesh, showcases her persistence in the face of challenging circumstances. In a town where poor infrastructure and lack of basic necessities are prevalent, traditional gender norms further compound the difficulties faced by women seeking opportunities outside the home. Refusing to confirm societal expectations, Dubey pursued her dreams.
Eco-friendly craft
In 2022, Dubey started her venture, called Tritpi Herbals, featuring organic herbal beauty products utilizing fresh herbs which she grows in her her small garden. Beyond entrepreneurship, Tripti indulges in art by crafting eco-friendly items like tea coasters and paintings inspired by Madhya Pradesh's cultural heritage. She also mentors fellow female entrepreneurs, imparting vital tech skills as part of community empowerment.
Stitching success
Following her husband's passing, Rajeshwari Namdeo encountered significant financial challenges while supporting her three daughters in Vidisha, Madhya Pradesh. Initially accepting a Grade D government position in 2018, she found the salary insufficient to cover expenses. Determined to overcome adversity, Rajeshwari ventured into entrepreneurship, refining her stitching and clothing design abilities to sustain her family.
From trial to triumph
With sheer determination, she transformed her passion into a business, investing all her savings into setting up her shop. Despite facing numerous obstacles along the way, including financial constraints and societal pressures, Rajeshwari's dedication propelled her forward. Today, she runs her small business with three of her daughters who deliver products all by themselves on bicycles.
