Review: Pattern's hydrating shampoo and conditioner
In today's age of excessive environmental pollution and consequent dirt accumulation on the scalp, shampoos and conditioners have become an integral part of our hair care routine. Having said that, it's equally important to choose the right products, especially those scoring high on hydration. Recently, I chanced upon a hydrating shampoo and conditioner from a new-age brand named Pattern. Here's my review.
A brief about the products
Pattern's hydrating shampoo is a vegan, sulfate-free, paraben-free, and cruelty-free solution to dry, frizzy hair. Loaded with foxtail amaranthus seed oil, kiwi fruit, carrot oil, and various natural ingredients, it promises to deep-clean your scalp and nourish the roots. On the other hand, Pattern's hydrating conditioner is enriched with natural oils and butters, and can be used as an aftercare for your hair.
Here's how to use Pattern's hydrating shampoo and conditioner
Take a generous amount of the shampoo and gently massage it on your scalp and across the lengths of your wet hair. Work your way toward the ends of your mane and rinse with lukewarm/cold water after a few minutes. Once done, massage a judicious amount of the conditioner on your hair, avoiding the scalp. Rinse after six to eight minutes for best results.
Here's what I felt upon application
In all honesty, the shampoo and conditioner felt light on the head and exuded a non-toxic fragrance. One may only need a little amount to lather around the entire scalp, which speaks volumes about their good consistency. Although major results can only be noticed after regular use, I could sense some softness to my otherwise dry and brittle hair in the first wash.
What could be better?
In my opinion, the price of the conditioner seems a bit too high (₹1,270 for 200ml), which can be a budget-related downside for first-timers.
Is Pattern's hydrating shampoo and condition yay or nay?
Based on my experience, Pattern's hydrating shampoo and conditioner are worth getting your hands on. It solves the purpose of an instant, no-fuss hair cleanse, giving your mane a fresh, hydrated look. Both the products are free from alcohols, aluminum powder, formaldehyde, phthalates, mineral oils, and synthetic fragrances, which makes them all the more desirable. Go for it!
