Guide to a minimalist skincare routine for busy bees
Doing an elaborate skincare routine may not be possible every day. Even if you try to stick to it, there will be instances when you won't get enough time to do all the steps. This is especially true for all those busy folks caught up with incessant deadlines at work. And if you are one, here's a minimalist skincare routine for you.
Cleanser
Wash your face gently with a cleanser to get rid of any debris, oil, and pollutants. Choose a cleanser that is appropriate for your skin type and give it a thorough warm water rinse after using it. Choose a mild cleanser with glycolic or salicylic acid if you have oily skin and one without alcohol if you have sensitive skin.
Moisturizer with SPF
To nourish your skin and protect it from harsh UV rays, use a moisturizer with an SPF. This will reduce the two-step process of moisturizing and then applying sunscreen. Find a moisturizer that is appropriate for your skin type and treats any skin issues you may be experiencing such as oiliness, dryness, or signs of aging.
Eye cream and lip balm
To reduce puffiness, fine wrinkles, and dark circles under the eyes, pat a small dab of eye cream around the orbital bone. To prevent pulling the delicate skin, tap gently with your finger. Similarly, applying a hydrating lip balm will keep your lips protected and moisturized. To protect them from sun damage, go for the one with an SPF.
Serum
Apply a serum formulated to address your unique skin conditions after cleansing. To increase your skin's luminosity and inner glow, use vitamin C serum three times a week. The production of collagen can be increased at night by using retinol serums. Use your fingertips to apply a few drops of the serum to your face and neck in a gentle patting or massaging motion.
Minimal makeup
For those busy, more makeup means more issues. When you choose full-coverage foundations and powders, you open the door to a world of other cosmetics that are required to finish the heavier appearance. Keep your coverage as minimal as possible. You don't need a ton of products to achieve some of your favorite looks.
