Join us as we explore the trends for Spring/Summer 2024 that have emerged from this fashion extravaganza.
Minimal tailoring
At MFW, quiet luxury clothes met corporate cool to produce simple clothes that are suitable for both work and pleasure. Models were seen in minimalist appearance, wearing lighter fabrics. This trend is already on the streets. Paired with the stark suiting look and adorned with gold jewelry (including pendants and earrings), this combination exuded a sleek, sharp, sculptural, and bold appearance on the runway.
Teenie bopper hairdos
One of the main highlights during the event was the hairstyles. The hairstyles at the MFW show had a fun feel and focused on young and simple fashion. Designers went with beautiful teenie top knots, pigtails, and perfectly straight schoolgirl bangs on the models. A few other designers chose sweet pastel hair colors to give their collection a cozy touch.
Shimmer and shine
Soft and glossy designs graced the fabrications of many outfits. Numerous collections added a touch of subtle shimmer and sparkle, reminiscent of the way blues, pinks, and purples glisten beneath poolside lighting. The runway featured simple satin ensembles, alongside other eye-catching, shiny pieces, including metallics that seemed to flow like liquid and lustrous oxblood leather.
Bizarre looks
MFW witnessed some unconventional and daring makeup looks that truly stood out. Runway models sported eyebrows with a playful disco vibe. Designers also experimented with painted-on pouts, creating an intriguing and unexpected effect. Additionally, vibrant kaleidoscopic eyeshades made a bold statement on the runway. Meanwhile, some models donned garish, oversized wigs, playing with proportions adding another layer of creativity to the show.
