Tamales
Tamales are the quintessential Mexican street food that you will find in restaurants as well as at roadside stalls. With dough made of masa (corn), it is given a pocket shape and then steamed with a stuffing of vegetables, fruits, chilies, or cheeses. They are often wrapped in banana leaves or cornhusks just after they are steamed.
Pozole
