Kappad Beach
One of Kerela's most well-known beaches is the rock-studded Kappad Beach. Kappad is also remarkable for its wide and open beaches. Vasco Da Gama, a Portuguese explorer, is claimed to have landed on this Kappad beach in 1498. Kappad Beach is also historically noteworthy as it is often referred to as the entry point to the Malabar Coast.
Sweet Street (Mithai theravu)
One of Kozhikode's biggest shopping areas is Sweet Street, a well-known gathering spot for sweet tooths. A visit to Kozhikode is incomplete without exploring this bustling street that is open from the morning until about 9:00 pm. This vibrant market is famous for its aromatic spices, delectable sweets, and a wide variety of local handicrafts and textiles.
Thusharagiri Fall
The Chalipuzzha River is formed here by the meeting of two streams that originate in the Western Ghats. The river further splits into three waterfalls, and the mist produced by the flowing water gives the area its name, Thusharagiri. Beypore Beach
Both tourists and historians love visiting Beypore Beach. Beypore used to be a significant maritime hub and trading harbor in the past. It was a rather active port being the hub of trade and transactions for Arabian merchants from West Asia at the time. Visitors can explore the centuries-old tradition of crafting wooden boats and dhows, which is still practiced today.
