Want to boost productivity? Try these five interior design tips

    What's the story

Nobody wants to struggle to keep their laptop on the table or shift a couple of inches east or west, at the workplace.

Because not only does it cause great inconvenience, but also ruins one's productivity.

If you want to give your employees the best work environment, try these five interior design tips to get started.

    #1

Lighting: Use maximum lights to boost up employee energy

If you want to keep things natural, go for an office space that has plenty of windows. This will ensure that there is enough natural lighting (and some fresh breeze) for your employees, naturally upping their energy levels.

However, if you don't have liberty of natural lights, use decent artificial lighting- it will help reduce eye strain and make the area look more spacious.

Greenery: Make room for the greens

It's never a bad idea to have more greenery around.

Turning your office space into a sort of an "urban jungle" may help infuse some much-needed life at work.

It will not only add a generous amount of oxygen to your office, but will lighten up your employees' mood and increase their productivity.

If maintaining real plants isn't your thing, choose artificial plants instead.

Seating: Keep your work desks simple and minimal

Since this is where your employees sit down to work each day, you should pay special attention to their seats.

But by that, we don't mean you have to go over the top.

Just keep it simple and minimal, with little accessories.

Maintain a singular, light shade for all the desks in the office. It will keep things less confusing and more managed.

Space: Leave out plenty of space and storage room

Picture this: You are running late for that important meeting and you just can't find your pen to take notes - yes, clutter could be a real trouble.

But it doesn't have to be that way.

Make sure there is plenty of space around and also enough cabinets and drawers to keep supplies and stationery nicely, so that they can come handy when needed.

Plan a lounging space as well

There's a reason why employees at big companies seem happier and turn more productive by the end of the day.

It's because their offices are designed accordingly.

And we advise you to copy that.

Make sure your work space has at least one little "happy corner" filled with bean bags and hammocks where employees can forget work for a while and just relax.
