5 ways to enhance your hair care with rosemary oil
For centuries, rosemary has been celebrated for its aromatic allure and medicinal properties. Extracted from the fragrant leaves of the rosemary plant, rosemary oil boasts a myriad of benefits. In the realm of hair care, rosemary oil emerges as a natural elixir, known for its potential to stimulate hair growth and enhance overall hair health. Here's how you can use it on hair.
Apply directly into your scalp
You can use rosemary oil directly on your scalp. However, make sure to dilute it first before applying. You can try diluting a few drops of rosemary oil with a carrier oil, like coconut oil, to create a rosemary oil solution. You may then evenly massage the oil onto your scalp. It is optional to rinse the oil off afterward.
Natural fragrance
Combine one tablespoon of baking soda, one cup of water, and five to ten drops of essential oil of rosemary to produce a hair mask. This simple mask can eliminate germs that cause odor, leaving your scalp and hair feeling clean and silky. After 20 minutes of application, rinse it off. This can be used once or twice every week.
Mix it in shampoo
Not just shampoos, you can add rosemary oil in lotions, creams, and conditioners as well. However, do not overindulge and proceed with caution. Limit the number of drops to five per ounce of product. Use the product as usual after that. Additionally, you can add two to three drops straight into any hair product by dotting it up on your palm before using it.
Make DIY shampoo
Mix distilled water, liquid Castile Soap, aloe vera gel, glycerin and avocado oil or jojoba oil to create a shampoo base. Once you have the base ready, add the rosemary oil. For the desired aesthetic and health benefits, you can also add other essential oils to it. These could include a blend of baking soda, coconut oil, essential oil, and perhaps more herbs.
