How to take good care of your feet at home
Our feet take us places. Thus, treating them with care and pampering them should be our priority. In fact, not taking proper care of the feet can result in serious problems such as athlete's foot, bunions, foot cramps, strain, corn and calluses, onychomycosis, etc. So, here are a few steps you should follow to keep your feet healthy and beautiful.
Deep cleansing
Fill up a small tub with warm water, add lemon juice, a spoonful of baking soda, and a liquid soap. Soak your feet into the tub for 10-15 minutes and scrub your feet using a foot scrubber and a loofah, wash it off with water and then dry using a towel. This solution ensures deep cleansing of your feet and effective tan removal.
Scrub your feet
Exfoliation helps in getting rid of dead skin cells and elimination of germs. To prepare your own feet scrub, mix coffee powder, gram flour, and sugar in a bowl. Rub the mixture onto your feet and massage for 10 minutes. Then, wipe it off with a wet tissue. All these ingredients work wonderfully to boost feet health by moisturizing, de-tanning, exfoliating and reducing inflammation.
Use a foot mask
Mix olive oil, cocoa butter, turmeric and 6 Vitamin E capsules to get a thick consistency. Apply this mixture on your feet, and let it sit for 20 minutes. Wash it off using lukewarm water. Olive oil and cocoa butter provide moisture, turmeric detoxifies the skin and Vitamin E brings a healthy glow. Apply this mask regularly after scrubbing.
