Styling hacks to volumize thin hair
What's the story
Fine and flat hair might be easy to tackle but actually, looks unattractive as it's difficult to add volume and curls to it.
Fine hair lies flat and droopy from the roots. However, it is simply great for sporting a wet or sleek hairstyle.
But for other times, do these things to add volume and bounce to your flat hair strands and style them.
Shampooing
Use a clarifying shampoo; avoid using conditioner on the scalp
Your hair might be getting weighed down and looking droopy and flat due to excess product build-up.
So, use a clarifying shampoo once a week to remove the dirt, dust, and impurities from your scalp and maintain volume and bounce in your hair strands.
Then, use a lightweight conditioner and stay away from your roots to prevent greasy and flat hair.
Rough drying
Use the technique of rough-drying while blow-drying
Brushing your hair frequently with a hairbrush can make them look flatter and limper.
Use a blow dryer, flip your hair upside-down, and rough-dry your hair at least 60-70% using your fingers before going ahead with the round brush.
This will make your cuticles rough and lift up the hair roots.
Then, continue blow-drying your hair using a round ceramic brush to add softness.
Rollers
Set your hair with rollers for unreal volume
If you want to add some major volume to your fine hair, then grab your classic foam rollers and roll up your hair.
Wrap your hair sections with the rollers on the top of your head to create an instant lift.
After removing them, flip your hair, massage the scalp, and fluff the hair roots using your fingers to loosen the curls.
Shampoo
Use a good dry shampoo
If you have thin and dull hair, then dry shampoo can be your best friend. Over-shampooing your hair can produce too much oil and make your hair thin and lifeless.
So, instead of washing your hair daily, use a dry shampoo to create long-lasting volume and eliminate excess oil from the scalp.
You can also carry one in your travel pouch for on-the-go touch-ups.
Combing
Backcomb your hair
If you don't have a hair roller, simply lift your hair up in small sections and backcomb individual sections using a rat-tail comb.
Then use the same comb and tease the roots of your hair back and forth to lift them up.
Comb down the strands well and spritz some dry shampoo or hairspray to maintain and hold the pumped-up hairstyle in place.
