Here's how you can set up your own gaming room
If you happen to be a professional gamer, or just want to take your passion for gaming to the next level, or simply want a new addition to your house parties that your guests will love, building your very own gaming room could be a great idea. From size to lighting, here are important things to consider while setting up your game room.
Size? Neither too big, nor too small
First things first, decide the size of your gaming room. Although there's no rule, you need to strike the right balance. If your game room is too big, there would be a lot of empty space, and if it's too small, you'd have to deal with a lot of distractions while playing. However, make sure there's adequate distance between gaming console and your couch/chair/recliner.
The lighting should be functional yet cool
You may not consider lighting to be a priority while building your game room, but be assured that it's quite important. Yes, we agree that a gaming room shouldn't have a lot of lights, you still need the lighting to be functional and aptly stylish. For projector setting, you will need darker lighting. If you don't mind spending more, consider remote control lighting.
And, what about the seating?
Your seat is where all that gaming action will come from. Get a comfortable yet attractive recliner or bean bag and place it right at the centre of your game room. Ensure a good quality couch/recliner where you can sit for hours without getting tired.
Get a TV or projector
Most gamers remain divided on this one and it's really a personal choice. With a projector, you can adjust the distance and the projection size as per your mood. However, if you are planning to install a TV, you will be stuck with the same display size, which might become boring over time. Hence, take time and make your choice wisely. Enjoy!
