How to reverse premature grey hair
Are you annoyed with those strands of grey hair and usually resort to cutting or covering them? Well, you have arrived at the right place! NewsBytes got in touch with Naina Ruhail, Founder and Co-CEO, Vanity Wagon, to understand more about the concept of pre-mature grey hair and how you can tactfully deal with them. Read on!
What causes early greying
Ruhail says while premature greying can be caused by various factors, the main cause includes genetics, stress, nutritional deficiencies, hormonal imbalances, and lifestyle choices. Although reversing premature grey hair may not be possible for everyone, it is important to consult with a healthcare provider or a qualified trichologist for personalized advice. According to Ruhail, switching to organic/sustainable haircare products is the best resort.
Use plant-based hair color
"While coloring or trying to cover the grey hair, instead of using chemical-laden hair dyes, consider using plant-based hair color options that are free from harsh chemicals like ammonia, PPD, and resorcinol," Ruhail suggests. She says that henna, indigo, and other herbal hair colors are natural alternatives that can provide color to your hair.
Choose organic hair care products
Choosing the right products matters while caring for the body. Ruhail tells NewsBytes that one needs to look for and select haircare products that are made from natural or organic ingredients that are free from harmful chemicals like sulfates, parabens, and synthetic fragrances. "Natural products are typically better for your hair and overall health," she says.
DIY hair masks with natural ingredients
Creating natural hair masks is another way to prevent hair from early greying. The Vanity Wagon founder advises you to create your DIY hair masks using natural ingredients like aloe vera, coconut oil, hibiscus, fenugreek, and other herbs known for their hair-nourishing properties. "These natural ingredients can help strengthen your hair and promote its natural color," she reveals.
