These home remedies can help reduce darkness around neck
Face is the first thing others see, so we invest a lot in getting that perfect facial glow. However, we often forget about our necks, which can lead to the area getting darkened. This can also happen due to pigmentation or/and lack of hygiene. If your neck is darker than your face, here are a few home remedies that can help reverse the condition.
Baking soda removes dirt and dead skin cells
Baking soda nourishes the skin and also removes traces of dirt and dead skin cells. Take two tablespoons of baking soda and mix it with water to form a smooth paste. Apply this mixture to the neck and leave it for 15 minutes. Scrub the paste off the neck using wet fingers. Rinse with water. Repeat this every day for best results.
Potato lightens the skin by removing dark patches
Potato has bleaching properties that lighten the skin by removing dark patches. Grate a small potato and squeeze out the juice completely. Apply it to your neck. Let it sit until it completely dries. Rinse with cold water. You can alternatively place cut slices of a potato on the dark patches on the neck and leave it on for half an hour.
Apply yogurt-lemon juice mask up to two times every week
Yogurt and lemon mask is effective to nourish the skin and remove darkness. Take two tablespoons of yogurt and mix it with one teaspoon of lemon juice. Let it sit for five minutes. Apply the mask onto your neck and leave it until completely dry. Rinse it with cold water. Apply this mask up to two times every week for visible results.
