Six hidden gems of Prague that are worth a visit
The fairytale capital city of Czech Republic, Prague is one of the most preferred travel destinations in the whole of Europe, not for no reason. However, note that even when you are done checking out the obvious locales of Charles Bridge, Prague Castle, and the Old Town Square, there is still a lot left to explore. Here are six lesser-known hidden gems of Prague.
Thunovska Street and Vojan Garden
Thunovska Street: Featuring three different arches, this quaint street in Prague is one of its prettiest places to walk through. Vojan Garden: Located right in the middle of the busiest part of Old Town, the Vojan Garden is considered the oldest partially preserved garden in the city. During spring, you can witness the amazingly beautiful magnolias bloom in its full glory.
Colloredo-Mansfeld Palace and Loreta
Colloredo-Mansfeld Palace: Boasting of Baroque and Rococo architecture, this spectacular four-winged palace, despite being located so close to the Charles Bridge, remains largely unknown among tourists coming to Czech. Loreta: A Marian pilgrimage site, Loreta, comprising a replica of the Santa Casa, one of the Holy House, a cloister and a clock tower, should be paid a visit on your trip to Prague.
Tunnel of Books and Airship Gulliver
Tunnel of Books: Right in front of the entrance of the Municipal Library of Prague, you can see the amazing 'tunnel' of books. Plus, the positioning of mirrors is such that it makes this tower of books look infinite. Airship Gulliver: Sitting atop the rooftop of the DOX Center for Contemporary Art, the Airship Gulliver is a zeppelin-shaped installation that must be explored.
