Pirotan and Narala Islands
Visitors need permission to enter Pirotan and Narala Islands. The latter can only be reached during the high tide. There is no ferry service to the islands from the mainland so you'd need to hire boats to reach the island in about 1.5 hours. The islands are uninhabited, except for the workers at Pirotan Island's lighthouse. Therefore, you'll have access to endless solitude.
Lothal
An important part of ancient history, dating back to the Indus Valley civilization, Lothal was discovered in 1954. ASI had initially claimed that Lothal had the world's earliest known dock, connecting to an ancient course of the Sabarmati river. However, this claim has been challenged If you're into archaeology, this place must be on your list. A museum displays the remains of the civilization.
Thol Lake Bird Sanctuary
If you love bird watching, head to Thol Lake Bird Sanctuary. Thol is a freshwater lake surrounded by marshland and is, therefore, home to over 150 species of birds. The quietude and greenery of the sanctuary, plus its distance from the city of Ahmedabad will really calm your spirits. The two most noticeable species of birds seen here are flamingos and sarus crane.
Mandvi Beach
Famous for the charming sunsets, and cleanliness, Mandvi Beach is part of the town of Mandvi founded in 1580 by Rao of Kutch, Khengarji. This calm beach is hidden from the crowd of tourists and hence you can take a stroll for hours without having to collide with anyone. There are several historical structures near the beach which you can visit as well.
Girmal Waterfall
Dropping from a whopping height of 100 feet, Girmal is Gujarat's highest waterfall. This waterfall is a mesmerizing sight for your eyes. For the high drop and momentum of the water, the surrounding area often remains foggy and you might catch a glimpse of a rainbow or two.
