Family of 9 shares same birthday, holds Guinness World Record
The Mangi family from Larkana, Pakistan, has achieved a remarkable feat by earning a Guinness World Record (GWR) title for sharing the same birth date. In an extraordinary event, every member of the Mangi family, comprising the parents and seven children, celebrates their birthdays on August 1. This exceptional family holds the record for having the "most family members born on the same day."
The couple got married on the same day
Interestingly, the couple Ameer Ali and Khudeja got married on the day of their birthdays, August 1 in the year 1991. Their oldest daughter, Sindhoo, was born on the same day a year later. This was followed by the birth of their twin daughters Sasui and Sapna. The rest including Aamir, Ambar, and twin boys Ammar and Ahmar were also born on August 1.
'Most siblings born on the same day'
The coincidental birth of all seven siblings on the same day led to another Guinness record for "most siblings born on the same day." It is extremely uncommon, according to GWR, to have two sets of twins. Additionally, their birth establishes a record for the "most twin siblings born on the same day." The children are aged between 19 and 30.
All the children were conceived naturally: Ali
Reportedly, Ali and Khudeja were "surprised and delighted" after their first daughter was born on August 1. The couple confirmed that all of the children were naturally conceived and birthed. No one was delivered through cesarean section before their due date, nor was Khudeja's labor ever artificially induced. "It was all natural; from Allah," Ali was quoted as saying by the GWR.
The previous record was held by a US family
According to GWR, this is the fifth verified example of a mother producing two sets of twins with coincident birthdays, holding the record for "most twin siblings born on the same day." The Cummins family in the United States, who had five children born on February 20 between 1952 and 1966, formerly held the record for "most family members born on the same day."
