Happy birthday, Sidharth Malhotra! Gushing over his fittest onscreen looks
Sidharth Malhotra is a handsome mix of talent and looks. Ever since he starred in his 2012 debut film Student of the Year, the actor has maintained an ultra-toned physique for all of his roles, which has made him the perfect "fitspiration" for the youth. As he turns a year older (and a whole lot dapper!), let's obsess over his fittest onscreen looks ever.
'Shershaah': Malhotra's fitness routine isn't for the fainthearted
Sources say that Malhotra trained with the Indian Army for his role as one of them. He used to carry backpacks weighing 20 kg and climb uphill, to increase stamina and endurance. The actor's daily workout schedule also included multiple sessions of cycling, swimming, and running throughout the day. Homemade and raw foods were all he ate during his shooting schedule.
'Marjaavaan': His beefy look was a result of gruesome training
Malhotra teamed up weight training with a healthy diet, which added to his muscle mass. According to reports, besides spending 15 hours in a day only shooting for the film, the actor used to wake up daily at 6:30 am to indulge in his workout routine that included exercises like deadlifts, squats, and shoulder presses. Olympic movements gave him a broad and sturdy stature.
'Yodha': Who needs the gym when you have a tree?
Taking to Instagram Malhotra shared his unique approach to fitness on the sets of the upcoming film Yodha. Captioning the post with 'No gym, No time, No excuses, All I need is a tree,' he was seen performing some jaw-dropping exercises while hanging from a tree using gymnastic rings. He tucked his knees to his chest, completing a full 360-degree rotation!
All he needs is a tree!
'Brothers': Mental conditioning paved the way for Malhotra
Malhotra underwent extensive training for his role as a wrestler in Brothers. The actor gained at least eight kilograms of muscular mass in preparation for this movie and paired up mixed martial arts (MMA) with his daily workout routine to amplify results. Not only that, reports convey that he used to take icy cold showers for mental conditioning toward pain and endurance.
