Happy birthday, Ranveer Singh! Revealing the dreamboat's fittest looks ever
Ranveer Singh is one (or safe to say that he's probably leading the pack) of the most talented, voguish, and energetic actors in the Hindi film fraternity. A gifted artist who nails everything he does from acting to fashion, Singh is a total youth icon admired for his irresistibly fascinating looks onscreen. On his 38th birthday, let's obsess over his fittest appearance ever.
'Padmaavat': Insane looks call for insane workouts
Mustafa Ahmed, who trained Singh for his role in Padmaavat, told Vogue that they did HIIT with push-ups, burpees, etc. "He trained twice a day for six days a week. In the mornings, we would usually do a cardio session followed by a mobility drill," he shared. During evenings, he practiced "an hour or hour and a half of weight training and heavy lifting."
'Ram-Leela': The spunky Ram trained hard for 12 long weeks
Singh trained with the UK celebrity trainer Lloyd Stevens for 12 weeks to look super handsome in Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela. Per reports, he used to savor light breakfasts, and protein-rich foods for lunch, and dinner featuring lamb, veggies, and egg whites. His go-to snacks were nuts like walnuts and almonds. He did an hour of cardio twice a day to look so sculpted.
'Gunday': Singh removed carbohydrates from his diet
For Gunday, Singh prepped his look by staying on a strict exercise regime and following a protein-rich diet. And if reports are to be believed, he steered clear of food for at least two hours before his shot was ready. Bollywoodlife reports that he eliminated carbohydrates from his diet throughout the shooting of this film.
'83': A transformation that got us clean bowled
Singh transformed his beefy look from Simba to a more athletic physique in 83 to do justice to Kapil Dev's character. His trainer Rajiv Mehra told GQ, "We focussed on functional load bearing and high impact exercises like different variations of squats, jumps, clean and press, landmine pushes, rotational cable exercises, etc., which helped him strengthen his bowling muscles."
'Befikre': The lad's performance and looks were a visual treat
Singh trained with Lloyd Stevens for his jaw-dropping look in Befikre and the duo did some intense workouts together despite the actor's jam-packed schedules. Flaunting his abs on Instagram, Singh shared a post and captioned "My favorite kind of biscuits? Chocolate Biscuits @stevenslloyd Haha!" In another one, he captioned, "But in my head, I'm saying "Nutella!" with every rep! Haha!"
