Playing a boxer in and as Mary Kom, Chopra underwent an intense workout that lasted for about 12 weeks. Per reports, she did a host of exercises including burpees, barbell curls, side bends, crunches, squats, lunges, etc. with 30 to 50 repetitions of each in sets. She also indulged in boxing training and spent several hours doing the same.
'Citadel': A grueling fight training that got her to bleed
Chopra's latest spy drama Citadel is a hit show and that's because she pulled off most of the action scenes herself. "When you do stunts, you will get banged up and bruised a little bit even though we worked with the best stunt teams in the world," she shared during an interview. It took her a year and a half to train for it.
'Fashion': The stunner did yoga, ate fresh foods
For her role as a supermodel in Fashion, Chopra indulged in yoga and practiced poses such as the half lord of the fishes pose, warrior pose, and tree pose. She also followed two diets - one that required her to gain weight during the initial few scenes of the film, and the second to make her look slim in the later ones.
'Dil Dhadakne Do': Here's how Chopra Jonas shed 7 kg
According to reports, for her role in Dil Dhadakne Do, Chopra had to shed seven kilograms. To achieve this, she adopted a balanced approach, incorporating both workouts and a proper diet. Speaking of the workout, she ran for 15 minutes daily, performed push-ups and pull-ups, did plenty of bicep curls, indulged in yoga and swimming, and held a plank position for 30 minutes.
