Oberoi shares a childhood love for sports
During an interaction with the Economic Times, Oberoi revealed, "As a child, I played all kinds of sports — hockey, table tennis, football, and cricket." The Saathiya actor has also played hockey at the state and national level. Even today, when he gets some time off, he indulges in his favorite sports that add to his overall fitness and health.
He prioritizes emotional health alongside physical well-being
During the same conversation, the Kaal lead also shared that he focuses on his emotional health as much as his physical health. "Spend some time with yourself every morning. Practise Suryanamaskar, meditation, or prayer. Also, if you are tired and have a sore body, do not exercise. But don't encourage sluggishness. Motivate yourself and get moving," he suggested.
The star does three days each of cardio, weight training
Viraj Sarmalkar, who trains Oberoi, once shared with Filmfare that the actor does three days each of cardio and weight training in a week. He performs pull-ups, push-ups, lunges, burpees, and many other exercises daily to ensure he stays in fine fettle. According to his trainer, the Company actor has a neck injury and experiences a sleep disorder. Yet, he doesn't skip his workouts.
If not gym, the actor goes for jogging
Oberoid told ET that when he is not going to the gym, he goes for a jogging session with his wife Priyanka. "That way we spend some quality time together." And if not jogging, he simply goes for a beachside walk or plays a sport. "I work out on an empty stomach in the morning," he shared in the same discussion.
He consumes natural foods to detox his body
"I take neem, kala jamun (blackberry), methi (fenugreek) and other natural ingredients in a powdered form. The mixture tastes bitter but it's a great detox," stated the Masti lad with ET. Not just that, the actor is known to eat every two to three hours. "But, after 7 pm I stay away from carbohydrates totally," he added.
