Sood loves weight training and this is pretty much the reason behind his sculpted looks and washboard abs. "50 percent of his routine comprises bodyweight exercises. This helps in keeping him active and allows him to move effortlessly while performing stunts or fight sequences," revealed the actor's fitness trainer Yogesh Bhateja during an interaction with GQ India.

The actor spends nearly 2.5 hours at the gym
During a conversation with Filmfare, Sood stated, "I spend almost 2 ½ hours in the gym and work on two body parts a day." He starts his day with 30 minutes of cardio, followed by cross-training and functional training. "I even do yoga. It's a mixture of weights and weight-free exercise. I focus on both lower and upper body parts," he added.

The Entertainment actor is very dedicated to his sweat sessions, so much so that Bhateja revealed in the same discussion, "He's got the mind, body, and soul of a top-level athlete, and he loves to learn and grow." No matter what the training is like, there are a few exercises that the duo never misses. These include burpees, planks, handstands, wipers, and pull-ups.

The superstar claims that he has strong willpower which fuels him with motivation to look dapper. "When you set a goal, there are no shortcuts. I find time to work out even while shooting. There have been times when I've packed up at 2:00 am and have still worked out after that. It's all about what is on your priority list," he told Filmfare.

Unlike most fitness freaks, Sood practices a no-cheat day policy. "There are no cheat days for me. I stay disciplined with my food habits. When you have worked so hard to sculpt your body, you can't let your efforts go to waste," he shared with Filmfare. Per sources, the Punjabi lad thoroughly loves homecooked makke ki roti and sarson ka saag.
He is a pure vegetarian and enjoys balanced food
Sood has always been a vegetarian. He savors muesli, fruits, and fresh juices for breakfast, while he prefers eating roti, dal, sabzi, salad, and a bowl of curd for lunch. Bread sandwiches are his favorite evening snacks and his dinner scenes usually include salads, soups, sabzi, and one chapati. Protein shakes are his go-to post-workout favorite.
