Happy birthday, Lisa Haydon! Sharing the diva's fitness secrets
The actor turns 37 today! When it comes to commanding a massive fan following for fashion and fitness, Lisa Haydon is a highly revered name in the tinsel town. The actor is known for her incredibly fit body, for which she follows a healthy lifestyle. On her birthday, let's take a look at everything that keeps her super fit.
Haydon wakes up at 6 in the morning for exercise
Haydon is an early bird and the first thing she does is to attend to her fitness. "This is the only way I can be consistent—by 9:00 am I'm ready to go about my day as needed," she told Vogue. She performs Pilates thrice a week and usually runs on the rest of the days. She takes a day off to rest and recover.
The stunner started exercising at the age of 11
Fitness goes a long way for the diva as reportedly, she started exercising when she was just 11 years old! "All credit to my mother who, despite having to look after eight children, always made time for exercise," she told Vogue. "I took to running. I started with 10 rounds, then 20, and before I knew it, I was running in marathons," she added.
Yoga is her favorite way to stay in fine fettle
The Queen actor includes yoga in her daily workout routine, which she first started when she gained weight during high school. "I discovered yoga in Sydney during my 'chubby' phase at this school that taught ashtanga-hatha flow. I gradually moved towards ashtanga, going beyond the primary level," she shared with Vogue. "It'll always be a part of my fitness regimen," added the star.
I don't exercise for a film/shoot, I enjoy it: Haydon
Unlike many celebrities, Haydon indulges in her workout routine for that much-needed kick of happy hormones. "I don't work out for a shoot or a movie. For me, it's a lifestyle. That one hour a day really pumps me up. I exercise because it makes me feel good... looking good, as a result, is an added bonus," she was quoted by Vogue.
'The Shaukeens' star loves to surf
Haydon loves to surf and it is all over her Instagram. Her love for this water sport is so deep that she does it whenever she gets time from her overwhelming schedule. Surfing is a great way to stay fit as it helps improve cardiovascular health, strengthens one's chest, shoulder, and thigh muscles, and is also an excellent stress buster.
