Happy birthday, Divya Dutta! Here's how she stays fit
Divya Dutta is among the finest actors we have in Bollywood. A national award-winning performer, she nails every character with her phenomenal acting chops and versatility. Her fitness and healthy eating practices also contribute to her powerful stardom, for she has a different (and inspiring!) take on them. Today, let's discover what fitness means to her and the things she does for it.
Fitness doesn't mean six-pack abs to Dutta
During an interview with Hindustan Times, the Veer Zara actor shared that, to her, fitness doesn't mean having six-pack abs but being the best version of herself. "My goal is that, when I look in the mirror, I should be pleased and not frustrated with what I see," she added. She believes that fitness is subjective and one should do what sails their ship.
The 'Stanley Ka Dabba' actor trains 5 days a week
According to sources, Dutta trains for five days a week and does a combination of exercises to achieve her desired body goals. Additionally, she enjoys changing her workout routine at regular intervals to make it more engaging and less monotonous. On days she's not hitting the gym, the Heroine star does swimming, dancing, and yoga. She has an immense love for aqua Zumba too.
Here's how she stays fit when traveling
During the same conversation with HT, the actor revealed that she does Surya Namaskar in her hotel room and likes to carry some light weights with her for weight training when traveling outdoors. This helps her stay fit when away from the gym.
Mental health matters: Dutta on her stress-coping techniques
Dutta gives top importance to her mental well-being. Reportedly, when she is stressed, she distracts her mind. "I have learned how to distract myself when stressed. It's not easy, but I've got the knack of counting to 10 and then focusing on something else. I've learned that, just as you have to train the body, you have to train the mind," she told HT.
Her diet rules are worth taking note of
Reportedly, Dutta eats what her grandparents used to eat back in the day - simple, fresh, and home-cooked food. The actor steers clear of white sugar and wheat as much as possible. When craving something sweet, she eats raw sugarcane as it's wholesome and natural.
She begins her day with lukewarm water featuring fennel seeds
The Special 26 actor starts her day by drinking a glass of lukewarm water infused with fennel seeds. For breakfast, she enjoys poha, fruits, or oats. For lunch, she opts for jowar rotis, dal, vegetables, and salad. Her mid-day snacks include makhana, nuts, or fruits, while her dinner typically consists of rice and dal or salad and soup. She avoids processed and junk food.
