    Popsicle-stained lips: Here's how it's done

    What's the story

Are you seeking a youthful, lively makeup style that shouts summertime fun? Why not try the "popsicle-stained lips" makeup trend?

The fundamental idea of this style, which is also known as blurred/smudged lips, is to create a streak of color with the center of the lips serving as the main focus and smudging the color outwards to expose a diffuse color.

    Look

    More about the look

The trend which is popular in South Korea is now favored in India.

The trend is inspired by the juice stain on your lips after eating a popsicle. It's about getting those lips with the ombre appearance.

Cherry red or pink lip color is applied at the center of the lips and smudged for a gentle look. You'd also need a lip gloss.

    Step 1

    Prep the lip

For popsicle-stained lips to look good, it is important to have moisturized and smooth lips. Otherwise, your lips will look dehydrated.

Firstly exfoliate them to obtain a smooth base. All the dead skin would be removed in this manner.

Go on to moisturize the lips with a good lip balm. You now have a blank canvas to work with.

    Step 2

    Apply the base color

Choose the popsicle-inspired color of your choice. Cherry red, orange crush, and raspberry pink are some common options.

For a realistic impression, choose a transparent lipstick or lip tint.

Start by dabbing your lips with a small amount of the lip color of your choice.

Do not outline your lips. Instead, use a brush and smudge the color from the center to the sides.

    Step 3

    Final touches

Add a clear shine as a finishing touch to complete the stained look. This thin layer of gloss will make it appear shiny.

Apply transparent or glittery lip gloss all over your lips for a more intensely juicy sensation.

Using a tissue, gently dab your lips to remove any excess product. This will make the color look more long-lasting and natural.
