Guide to making fragrance sachets for your wardrobe
Who wouldn't love to wear a fragrant outfit? While spraying perfumes or body mists is one option, there's a more eco-friendly way to add delightful scents to your clothes: scented sachets. These sachets not only infuse your clothes with lovely fragrances but also bring a positive vibe. Now, let us explore some creative ways for you to make your own sachets.
Why do you need a sachet?
Sachets are welcoming, charming, and easy to deal with. You can choose a scent that relaxes, inspires, cheers or invigorates. Certain aromas can trigger happy memories. So consider having scents that hold the most nostalgic value. Additionally, fresh, pleasant scents can make anything feel more hygienic, be it the clothes or a room. Some essential oils even repel pests from indoor plants and surfaces.
Square bags
Take a bowl and mix two parts lavender with one part rice. Cut two squares of a fabric in equal measure. Place these fabric squares on top of one another and sew three sides of the squares leaving a little space around the edges. Fill the bag with the mix of rice and lavender, and sew the remaining sides.
Essential oil sachets
Put some cotton balls into a bowl and saturate them with an essential oil of yuor choice. Then, place a handkerchief on a flat surface and put the cotton balls in the center of the handkerchief. Gather all the edges and tie with a ribbon or twine and place it in the wardrobe. When the aroma fades, simply replace the cotton balls.
Orange and clove
This technique does not require sachet bags. Stick cloves into an orange till it is completely covered. Attach a ribbon at the top of the orange and hang it inside the wardrobe, kitchen, or bathroom closet. The citrusy aroma of orange pairs harmoniously with the rich, aromatic scent of clove, creating an uplifting fragrance. Replace it periodically to maintain the desired level of fragrance.
