Dakota Johnson sleeps for 14 hours, considers sleep top priority

Sleep is the utmost priority in Dakota Johnson's life. This has nothing to do with how and when the actor goes to sleep/wakes up, but how much time she sleeps. In a recent interview with the Wall Street Journal, the Fifty Shades of Grey star revealed that she needs at least 10 hours of sleep to function and can easily sleep more if needed.

Johnson's sleep schedule is inconsistent 

When asked about her sleep schedule, Johnson revealed that she doesn't have a regular wake-up time. "It depends on what's happening in my life," she told the outlet. "If I'm not working, if I have a day off on a Monday, then I will sleep as long as I can. Sleep is my number one priority in life."

Talking about sleep quality, the actor said, "I'm not functional if I get less than 10 [hours of sleep]," she said. "I can easily go 14 hours." When Johnson prioritizes ample sleep, she tends to forgo breakfast and opts for coffee as quickly as she can upon waking up. "I love an oat milk flat white," she explained.

The actor also revealed that she is consistent with her wellness routine. "I meditate every day, twice a day," she said. "I do transcendental meditation. I've been really into breathwork recently and that's been helping me a lot with anxiety," she added. Besides, Johnson makes sure to exercise five days a week. She practices bodyweight training, Pilates, and hot yoga a lot.

Each person has their unique way of combating stress. When it comes to Johnson, she likes to take a bath. "At any time of day, I will jump into a bathtub. If I find myself thinking, 'Oh God, what is this world?' in the midst of the day. I'm going to the bathtub." "Water is incredibly grounding for me," she said.
