Copenhagen Fashion Week, also known as the fashion industry's most sustainable fashion week, has officially begun in the Danish capital. Running from August 7 to 11, the event is attended by journalists, buyers, and influencers from across the world. The fashion scene is all glitz and glamor with bold street-style ensembles sported by visitors. Check out some of the best looks so far.
Season of full-sized overcoats
It is rainy in Copenhagen, and the weather calls for more autumnal dressing in the city. Thus overcoats with open-toe shoes are everywhere at Copenhagen Fashion Week this season. A visitor elevated a simple trainer, t-shirt, jeans, and coat combo with a cowboy hat. Another guest opted for a beige jumper and brown leather shorts paired with a full-sized black overcoat.
Leopard prints are back and how
Animal prints of all kinds are back on the streets. One was seen wearing a satin dress with a leopard print jacket paired with white heels an orange bag and an umbrella complimenting the outfit. Another visitor donned a bright leopard print suit with a black t-shirt inside. Another was seen wearing a snake print jacket and trousers.
Leather jackets are in trend
Layering is also prevalent among the fashionistas with lightweight clothes and oversized silhouettes being preferred by most. Giving away an easygoing cool-girl appearance, one guest was seen wearing a long leather jacket with a satin slip dress underneath, paired with a leather beret. Another woman was seen wearing a black leather jacket over a yellow shirt and red see-through pants, styled with long earrings.
Denims everywhere
Double denim is a safer option when it's not too hot. And people in Copenhagen indeed went all crazy with styling denim. Throughout the ongoing fashion week, there is a widespread trend of dresses layered over denim and denim paired with dresses. Among the standout street-style looks was an oversized, structured denim jacket paired with black straight-leg pants and blue heels.
Embracing a splash of colors
People also opted for fun, poppy, and colorful outfits/accessories to balance the gloomy season. While some attendees stuck to only bright-colored accessories, others went all out with vibrant pairing. A guest came in a plain white crop top with an orange full-sleeved jacket and pants with orange-framed sunglasses. Another interesting outfit choice was a peach-colored top and cap with loose cargo green knee-length pants.
