Five common styling mistakes women should avoid
Fashion is a serious business. There is something undeniably sassy about a lady carrying the right set of clothing and accessories. However, there are many factors that go into pulling off that classy look. From wearing baggy dresses to bad makeup and too many accessories, here are five common style mistakes women tend to make, but should not.
Wearing too tight or too loose clothing
Needless to say, when you go out for shopping, one of the most important things to keep in mind is your size. Ill-fitted garments will not do you any favor. Wearing tight clothes will make you look and feel uncomfortable. On the other hand, baggy or over-sized dresses will not make you look slim, but the other way around.
Bad or excessive make up
Make up is one of the most crucial aspects of a woman's look. And to look your best, you need to strike the right balance of it. Avoid common make up mistakes like using different colors of foundation for face and neck, to begin with. Also, make sure to not go over the top with make up. Try to keep it minimal yet stylish.
No accessory or too much of it
Many women claim that they have "no time for accessorizing." However, wearing the right amount of accessories is just as important as dressing up, if not more. Small touches like a necklace, scarf or heels will give an edge to your overall look. It will not take you more than a minute or two to add that scarf or earring before heading out.
Revealing too much skin; Dressing out of your age
Bursting the bubble, but revealing too much skin is actually off-putting, especially in more formal settings. It tends to make you and others around you uncomfortable. The golden rule is- if you are showing skin up top, cover down bottom and vice versa. Separately, there is no problem in looking like a 40-year-old when you are so. Hence, always dress according to your age.
