Make your festive season more dazzling with these color palettes
As the festive season approaches, it's time to explore your wardrobe for the perfect festive fashion. Feeling uncertain about your outfit choices? We've got you covered! NewsBytes reached out to Kanika Vohra and Anuradha Chandrashekar, Co-Founders of ICH NEXT, to get insights on the best color combinations for this season's festivals and celebrations. Here's how you can set the perfect tone for festivities.
Berry purple, ginger and almond
The season prompts one to indulge in an atypical palette of grounded colors, says the designers. "This saturated tone of berry gets grounded by the rustic contrast of ginger and almond. Dyed or printed primarily on opaque fabrics, this unique tonal palette creates dreamy camouflage effects," shares Vohra. She further recommends wearing it with hints of antique zari for that festive rendition.
Raw pepper and turmeric
This is a combination of herbs and spices with earth tones. According to Chandrashekar, the revival of indigenous, natural remedies inspires this palette of raw pepper, moringa and turmeric. Expressed through richly foliaged patterns - distinctive and camouflaged, colors are typically adopted together in varied strengths, says the designer. "Style them on liquid-matte fabrics like velour, viscose sateen, and cotton silk," advises the designer.
Ragi brown and earthen silver
Inspired by the native food palette, this pink-tinted brown ragi is embellished like royalty with earthen silver. According to the designers, grounded colors can be made precious by using aged metallic embroidery. Vohra recommends choosing dense opaque fabrics like sateen, velour, and raw silk to take advantage of the almost-black color depth, making it a new favorite for this festive season.
Azurite and peach quartz
The healing and revitalizing energies of azurite crystal inspire this palette of intense teal blues. This color palette is commonly seen in gemstones. "Getting further stimulated by the positive aura of peach quartz, this combination presents as a key story for the festive season adapting well to sheen and sheer silks, velvet, and lyocell blends," Chandrashekar says.
Mitti red and peach quartz
"A strong foundation of mud red nurtures a sense of stability, combined with the progressive energy of peach quartz that stimulates accomplishment," says Chandrashekar. The designers suggest that this tonal color combination takes to multiple patterns without a fuss and is best suited to dense viscose or silk blends. If paired right, this combination would make you stand out at weddings and other events.
