In the subcontinent, air pollution has affected us rather adversely. Specifically in Delhi during this time of the year, every day is a bad air day. The air quality has hit such low levels in our beloved city, that temporary closing of schools and working-from-home are no longer prevention mechanisms, but a necessity. If you're curious, here are six cities with the cleanest air.
First, though, let's look at the most polluted cities, globally
According to a recent report by AirVisual.com, all the ten most polluted cities around the world are in Asia, and include as many as three Chinese cities. Indian capital, Delhi emerged as the most polluted city with an AQI of 521, followed by Lahore (193 AQI), Hanoi (182 AQI), Hangzhou (167 AQI), Kathmandu (156 AQI), Karachi, Beijing, Jakarta, Chengdu, and Mumbai.
Cleanest cities: Hamburg (Germany) and Halifax (Canada)
