British author JK Rowling is a childhood favorite for millions as she introduced the fantastical world of wizards, witches, magic, and spells with Harry Potter. This book is filled with inspiration for anyone at a turning point in their lives. It teaches you how you can embrace failure and use imagination to open yourself up for newer avenues. This book is steeped in reality and is far from any magic-related stories that JK Rowling has ever written. The plot revolves around a "casual vacancy" left by a councilor who dies. In the elections, it comes out that the small town of Pagford isn't what it looks like! It's a war ground - rich fighting with poor, wives fighting with husbands, etc.

The Christmas Pig is a heartwarming and beautiful tale for children, making it a must-read during the holiday season. It is about an adorable kid whose love for something takes him to the "Land of the Lost" to find it. The plot and storytelling are endearing and the story is a blend of love and loss.
