Attached to the legends of Anasuya and Ahalya, this architectural wonder was constructed in the 7th century. The temple is well-known for its four musical pillars, the hanging pillar, and the single Linga, which represents the triumvirs, Brahma-Vishnu-Mahesh.
Sarangapani Temple in Kumbakonam
One of the three important South Indian temples dedicated to Lord Vishnu, the Sarangapani Temple is located in Kumbakonam, Tamil Nadu. According to legends, the temple is believed to have been constructed 2,000 years ago. The temple is known as one of the 108 divya desams, the temples of Lord Vishnu revered in Naalayira Divya Prabandham by the 12 poet saints or Alwars.
