Get rid of stye with these natural and home remedies
'Eye' love these hacks! A stye (sty) is a pretty common medical condition that usually affects one or both eyes. A pimple or boil-like formation occurs on the eyelids, making it extremely uncomfortable and painful to blink or see. Although it vanishes in a few days, you can fasten up its exit process by trying these five natural and home remedies.
Warm tea bags
Warm compress helps reduce pain and swelling caused by stye, which is why using a warm tea bag on it works wonders. All you have to do is, grab a black tea bag (loaded with antibacterial properties), dunk it in hot water, let it cool down a little, and then place it over the affected area for some relief.
Coriander seeds
Coriander is blessed with anti-inflammatory properties that can help heal a stye. Take two tablespoons of coriander seeds and boil them in a cup of water. Once boiled, strain the mixture and allow it to cool down. Now wash the affected eye with this water; you can do this twice or thrice a day until the stye is gone.
Guava leaves
Guava leaves are antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory, which is why they can come to your rescue to reduce stye-induced pain, swelling, and irritation. To make them work, boil a handful of guava leaves in some water for a while. Let it cool down, dip a piece of clean cloth into it, and place it on the stye for 15 minutes.
Aloe vera
Aloe vera is hydrating, nourishing, and softening, all of which help treat stye. Take some fresh aloe vera gel by cutting out the pulp from the aloe vera leaf. Place this pulp over the stye and its areas surrounding for a few minutes. Post that, rinse it off with clean water and carefully pat it dry with a clean cloth.
Milk cream
Warm some milk cream, such that it is enough to cause a sting to the stye and is bearable at the same time. Now dunk a small piece of cotton into it and place it over the stye. Once it dries, clean the affected area by using a clean piece of cloth immersed in fresh water. This eliminates swelling and pus.
