Double delight: Chinese primary school enrolls 12 pairs of twins
An astonishing 12 pairs of twins are about to embark on their educational journey at a primary school in China. A viral video circulating on social media captures the heartwarming moment as the school welcomes these siblings and places them together in the same class. Reportedly, among these pairs, five consist of girls, adding a unique dynamic to the school's incoming students.
The twins are enrolled in primary one grade
The twins, part of a group of over 100 primary one-grade students, commenced their classes at Hubin North Road Primary School in eastern China's Shandong region on September 1, as reported by btime.com, an online video news source. The viral video captures them strolling in a line, hand in hand, as each child takes turns introducing themselves.
Placing them together in a class
The twins were put in the same class by the school authorities so that their teachers could get to know them better and determine the best ways to teach them. The arrangement, according to the school, also makes pickup time for parents easier. The school had previously had 12 pairs of twins in the year 2020, and 13 pairs in 2021 and 2022!
Teachers are delighted to learn more about the twins
"We teachers will also communicate with parents to understand more about the twin students and hope they will soon be adapted to primary school life," Tang Xiaolu, a primary one-grade teacher at the school was quoted saying by the South China Morning Post. Xiaolu said she tries to distinguish between the twin pair by slight differences in their physical appearance.
A similar incident happened in Pennsylvania, USA
If you are wondering whether this only happens in China, then lo and behold - a school district in Pennsylvania is also set to welcome about 17 sets of twins. According to People, four sets of twins are starting at Plymouth Elementary, six sets of twins are enrolled at Whitemarsh Elementary School, and seven sets of twins are transferring to Ridge Park Elementary School.
