How a 10-year-old Indian girl visited 50 countries
Meet Aditi Tripathi, a 10-year-old Indian-origin girl residing in South London, United Kingdom with her globetrotting parents, Avilasha and Deepak Tripathi. Despite her young age, Aditi has achieved an incredible feat by exploring 50 different countries with her mom and dad. What's even more impressive is that she managed to accomplish this extraordinary journey without ever missing a single day of school.
They wanted her to be a well-traveled individual
Aditi's parents had a clear vision for her - they wanted her to be well-traveled, experiencing the world, diverse cultures, foods, and meeting new people. To achieve this, they came up with a plan - they traveled during school holidays and bank holidays. They estimate spending around Rs. 21 lakh each year on travel, but they believe it's worth every penny.
Leave on Friday after school and return on Sunday night
They began traveling with Aditi when she was just three years old and was attending nursery school for two and a half days a week. Now, they pick her up directly from school on Fridays and catch late-night flights back, usually around 11 pm on Sunday. Sometimes, they even arrive on Monday morning, and Aditi heads straight to school from the airport.
Here's how they save all year to afford their trips
As reported by Metro, Aditi's parents, who work as accountants, have a smart approach to funding their trips. They save money throughout the year to make their travels possible. To save on expenses, they avoid eating out, they use public transport instead of owning a car, and even work from home to reduce commuting costs and childcare expenses for Aditi's two-year-old sister, Advita.
Aditi's top 3 - Nepal, Georgia, Armenia
Aditi, despite her tender age, has managed to visit almost every country in Europe and has also traveled to Thailand, Indonesia, and Singapore. Her very first trip was to Germany when she was only three years old. "I don't have a specific favorite country but if I had to choose three it would be Nepal, Georgia, Armenia," Aditi was quoted by the UK outlet.
Nepal holds a special place in her heart
"Nepal was probably one of my favorites because I did horse riding, I went on the longest cable car, and I could see mountains like Mount Everest," she shared with the outlet. "I really love traveling and have loads of fun memories. I would recommend it to other children because it can really help with your social skills," she added.
