Delhi: Youth stabbed 'two dozen times' by rival group
A 22-year-old man in Delhi died after being allegedly stabbed at least two dozen times by a rival group in Ambedkar Nagar, police said. The victim, identified as Sonu, and his friends are suspected to have had a dispute with the attackers some days ago. Two of three suspects have been arrested and the murder weapon recovered. Hunt is on for the third.
Sonu was out for a walk when he was attacked
Sonu, a beautician, and his brother Bunty were out for a walk on Friday afternoon when they were confronted by the group. "The quarrel quickly snowballed into a violent assault. Sonu was stabbed multiple times by the other party," an investigator said. Bunty, who alleged Sonu was stabbed over two dozen times, said he raised an alarm, but they fled before anyone could help.
Sonu was rushed to hospital, but was declared brought dead
Sonu was rushed to the nearby Batra Hospital, but was declared brought dead. Joginder and Aman, two of the attackers, have been arrested.
