Protocols
The Indian government actively promotes women's workforce participation through education and skill development initiatives, according to Press Information Bureau. This event represents a significant stride in acknowledging the vital role of quality childcare. It emphasizes the expansion of Anganwadi cum Crèches (AWCCs) under the Palna sub-component of Mission Shakti, ensuring high-quality facilities for children, including nutrition, health, cognitive development, growth monitoring, immunization, and education.
Angwanwadi demands
To address the needs of children aged six months to six years, AWCCs focus on delivering top-tier crèche facilities, including nutritional support, health, cognitive development, growth monitoring, immunization, and education. In response to this, the Ministry has crafted the National Minimum Standards and Protocol for Crèches (Operation and Management), guiding a diverse range of entities mandated by various acts and rules.
Women led development
Anticipated as a transformative step, this initiative is poised to revolutionize female labor force participation in the upcoming decades. The "Standards and Protocol" emphasize the standardization and institutionalization of the care economy, making a substantial contribution to the vision of "Women-led Development." Aligned with the broader goal of promoting and supporting the Care Sector, it strengthens the commitment to a self-reliant and empowered nation.
