Woman's body found hanging from FOB pillar in Dhanbad station
The body of a woman was found hanging from a pillar of the footbridge connecting two platforms at Dhanbad railway station in the early hours today. The woman, who appeared to be around 30 years, was hanging by a sari from the pillar of the footbridge, which connects the fourth and the fifth platforms of the station, the official said. Sanitation workers informed police about the body early morning
The fourth and fifth platforms become deserted after the last train of the day, the Burdwan-Dhanbad passenger, leaves the station at midnight. The sanitation staff informed police about the woman hanging from the pillar of footbridge early morning. A bag containing a sweater, a shawl, a water bottle and a purse with Rs. 150 were found on the spot of the incident, said police.
