Ghaziabad: 25-year-old woman commits suicide at her PG accommodation
A 25-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide at her PG accommodation in Indirapuram Colony's Amrapali village, police said. The incident took place around 6:30 pm on Monday. She was staying as a paying guest (PG). SHO Indirapuram, Sachin Malik, said on getting information from the control room, a police team reached the spot and found the girl hanging from a ceiling fan.
Body taken into custody and sent for postmortem
Police took the body into custody and sent it for postmortem, the officer said. The woman has been identified as Priyanka Verma, a native of Kota district in Rajasthan. She was working at a private company in Noida, Malik said. Police have recovered a mobile phone and are trying to trace a man whom she gave call few minutes before taking the extreme step.
FIR to be lodged after her parents lodge complaint
The parents of the woman have been informed and they will reach Ghaziabad Tuesday. The FIR will be lodged after her parents lodge a complaint, the SHO said.
